Meet the Media events have been an integral part of building relationships with journalists, editors and reporters in North Carolina since 1999. No other venue offers the opportunity to speak one-on-one with this caliber of journalists so conveniently and cost-effectively. The media offers tips to get their attention, gain trust with the media outlet and adhere to their sometimes stringent editorial standards – most of which a small business owner or entrepreneur is not aware of – and think they must hire a high paid public relations firm to get heard. “Which can’t be farther from the truth,” laughs Rebecca Antonelli, founder of this event.

With the Holiday season right around the corner, October 12th’s media panel will include reporters in search of ideas, trends, new products and services for the upcoming 2011 Holiday season. Attendees are invited to bring along samples, media kits and their best “pitch.”

Advance registration is $15 and $10 for students and non-profits.  At the door: $25 and $20 respectively.
